Board of Directors Meeting

September 18, 2017

CALL TO ORDER - President Kevin Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., at the home of J.B. Barrett.

Members Present: David Miller, Kevin Johnson, Gil Nickles, J.B. Barrett, Bill Gagle and Carolyn Fuchs.

MINUTES - Dave Miller made a motion to approve the April 24, 2017 TCV BoD Minutes, motion seconded by J.B. Barrett. MOTION PASSED.

TREASURER'S REPORT:

Treasurer J.B. Barrett distributed copies of the Balance Sheet, P & L YTD Comparison, P & L Annual Budget through September 15, 2017, copies attached to minutes. Dave Miller made a motion to accept Treasurer's Report as submitted ; motion seconded by Bill Gagle. MOTION PASSED .

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Architectural/Trees Committee:

Architectural :

1. David Miller received a request from Holly and Will Minter requesting removal of two dwarf gem magnolias planted in the neighbors' back yard next to their fence. Concern being damage to their property by the roots. After careful research and consultations the Architectural Committee's opinion is that the Board has no justification for action and that the parties concerned will need to reach an agreement independently. David Miller will draft and send a letter of this decision to those involved .

2. Carmen Plunk submitted an architectural request form to coat all brick at her residence with a Boral coating in a colortone of white with contrasting trim on the eaves, shutters, front door and garage door of tones ranging from light gray to charcoal. The request was denied and David Miller will discuss the matter with Mrs. Plunk.

Trees:

Dave Miller said the committee has decided to ask for voluntary donations from TCV residents to purchase trees and shrubs for the HOA frontage on Mingo and that a plan for landscape improvement will be submitted for approval prior to any actual planting. The ladies of the welcoming committee will Oversee the purchase and planting of the fall flowers.

Landmark/Lawn America:

Will continue mowing and lawn applications as scheduled. David Miller will work with Ron Wadley and will present a recommendation at the next TCV Board Meeting for watering and sprinkler repair contracting.

Gate:

Bill Gagle will handle maintenance and repair and Michael Bennett will handle gate programming needs.

Welcoming/Seasonal Decorations Committee: Jan Rusher, Linda Pat Colgan, Georgia Rush, Marilyn Miller, Karen Gagle.

NEW BUSINESS:

President Johnson has received a letter and other communications from TCV residents complaining about cars being routinely parked on the street for longer than allowed in the TCV by-laws. He is going to address the issue with those involved and explain the by-laws specific to those complaints.

ANNOUNCEMENTS/OTHER:

Architectural Request forms can be found on TCV website in printable version and should be submitted to Gil Nickles for approval.

The annual TCV Homeowners meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m., January 8, 2018, at the Hardesty Library in the Maple Room.

ADJOURN - The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 pm.
